在強烈季候風信號生效下，紅磡今早六時有棚架搖搖欲墜，民樂街往紅磡方向近駿昇中心暫時全線封閉。為此警方將分階段實施交通及人潮管制，同時當局會與食環署及康文署等部門合力嚴打無牌小販，並呼籲市民儘量避免攜帶噴雪劑，以免樂極生悲。附近大多數的商店生意都大受影響。計畫採買歲末禮品的消費者，也被迫要花更多的時間和體力。其實，出現上述結果，是特區政府和香港公眾不願意看到的，也是中央政府所不願意看到的。但天主教香港教區主教陳日君認為不用那麼緊張，因為天不會塌下來，要放眼看未來的發展。
